The spellbinding final volume of the Shamer ChroniclesThe Dragon Lord of Dunark is ruthlessly hunting down Shamers and burning them at the stake. He must be brought down, and so a rebellion is formed.
Rebellions need leaders, and what better choice than the legitimate heir to Dunark, Dina's friend Nico? Nico is reluctant to kill even a rabbit. Can I give this more than 5 stars? This finished the series in a nice and perfect way. I am always sad to say goodbye to characters I liked, and I liked them all.I still see a LOT of similarities to the series "Shadow and bone" / "Grisha" ... like.. Nico = Nicolas? Drakan = Darkling? Let me just say ... I got them "vibes"... you know. I must say that I am still a bit annoyed that Dina is so young. But still, I was her age when I read the first book and I loved it then. So My complaint might beAnd so we come to the fourth and final part in this tweenage fantasy series, expertly translated with wide vocab and great use of colloquialisms and so on by the Danish author of the piece herself. Following immediately on from part three, our lead heroine is awkwardly balancing not one but two magical abilities, and her older brother is still suffering from the torture he was put through in book three. We know, because this is the final part, that the Big Bad from book one will finally be
I found this series browsing the YA section of my library. I'm at a loss to describe what exactly it is that makes this series so enjoyable. The fact that it was written by a Danish author, who then translated them herself, is part of the magic. The fantasy world is crisp and provides a clear picture of the battle of good versus evil via shamefulness. (As the series title implies, the main character Dina has the power to shame people by forcing them to view- and share with her- the things they

Theres something depressing about finishing a seriesparticularly if you really, really liked that series. And I really liked the Shamer Chronicles. It took me a while to begin the last book of the seriespartly because, well, it was the last; and partly because the beginning isnt all that rapturously hooking. The book takes a little while to warm up. It isnt your typical fantasy-war-adventure, where everyone works up to the big battle, fights, and then we wrap up with a heart-wrenching ending. The
Ive read this before but I still might have to curl up in a ball for a little while.
This was a wonderful conclusion to the Shamer's series (or at least I think it's the last book). I'll admit I didn't get that sad at Nico's (view spoiler)[fake funeral even though it's made to make reader's think he really is dead. (hide spoiler)] I think it's because of that lack of depth to his character. We didn't really get to know him. The most he is spoken of is in the first book and then in this one. He plays a huge role but then is detached at the same time. Other than that aspect, I
Really good but I must say that I felt that I was missing a couple of pages in the end? Like just a page or two... But all in all such a good book series!
