Narration Conducive To Books Pride and Pleasure
Wealth Has Its Dangers. . .There are disadvantages to being an heiress, as Eliza Martin knows well. Fortune hunters corner her, friends become opportunistic, and lately, someone is engineering "accidents" to propel her into marriage. Not one to be bullied, Eliza needs the right man to infiltrate the nest of suitors. . .
. . .So Do Certain Men
By all measures, Jasper Bond is the wrong man for the job. He can't dance, isn't known for his restraint, and his blood heats whenever he's near his latest employer. Eliza Martin insists no one will believe an intellectual like her could be seduced by a man of action like Jasper, but the combination of his desire and her mystery makes the case one he can't resist. Client satisfaction is a point of pride and it's his pleasure to prove he's just the man she needs after all. . .

*****3.5 Pleasurable Stars*****Eliza is an heiress in her sixth season. She has money, manages her own finances and affairs, and has never been denied anything. She has happily decided not to marry, but to live out the rest of her days quietly reading and spending time in the country. Marriage would only cost her her freedom to do as she pleases, and would allow her husband to take over her finances. And that is just unacceptable. Eliza has no concept of carnal lust until she lays eyes on...And just when I thought I couldn't possibly love Sylvia Day anymore. "Client satisfaction is a point of pride, Miss Martin. By the time I am done, I guarantee you will be eminently gratified by my performance"Eliza Martin is an independent women, happy managaing her own enormous fortune without the assistance of a husband. However it seems someone has other ideas, hatching a plot to lure her into marriage for the security and protection it could bring from many unfortunate accidents. Although
Pride & Pleasure by Sylvia DayNot as kinky to The Stranger I Married or The Crossfire Trilogy but the story is as good as the books mentioned. The passion of love is always in Days books & I love her for it. It inspires the heart & mind and IDK if thats a good or a bad thing. You decide. ;) I realized I like the English old ways of communicating. The words when spoken (even while reading it) sounds so romantic, alluring & sincere. I dont mean the Shakespeare way (O Romeo, Romeo!

Okay, It's not the author's fault I didn't do any research when I began this book so I shouldn't blame her. I didn't know this was what I guess would be termed "erotic historical fiction"??? I was immediately drawn into the story because 1. I'll read anything Jane Austen/ Pride and Prejudice related, but more significantly: 2. The author is definitely a good writer. However, as a true Janeite I would have to say this type of writing is definitely not my cup of tea! I had to quit the book when it
There is something to be said about a good, comfortable, no thinking just enjoying sizzling romance novel. Nothing complicated, nothing that takes itself seriously - just a relaxing book for a rainy day. I needed something like this after soooo many paranormal YA that are wroth with self doubt and emotional torture, that I want to shake someone and say - hey, you guys are teenagers, how hard could life be?!?!?!?! So, an erotic historical romance was a perfect diversion as always:) And as always,
The heart recognizes what the reason ignores. Passion and love undermine the best laid plans. Eliza Martin, a self-sufficient heiress, who is avoiding forfeiting her freedom and fortune to a husband, plans to retire to the country after her sixth London season is over. Suspicious incidents make Eliza wary of her suitors, thinking someone is trying to force her into a marriage for protection. She hires a runner (London pioneering police) who doesn't take her seriously, but recommends Jasper Bonds
After studying the writing craft for over a decade now, Id have to honestly say, Ive been ruinedat least as an objective reader. I can no longer slide blithely through redundant description, dawdling action or blah characterization. I find myself constantly searching for more, silently challenging the author to give me a reason to keep the book open, to ignore the push of real life and remain lost in their fictional world. And while charming, shocking, seducing or even scaring a reader into
